I started using Instinct in October 2026. These are some of the most interesting things I've asked it to help with, followed by the everyday jobs that save me time.

  1. Making report photos usable
Identify the photos behind links, add descriptions and prepare an email with links the recipient can open.
  2. Comparing proposals buried in email
Pull proposals from my inbox and explain the differences side by side.
  3. Bringing a trip itinerary to life
Read a shared spreadsheet, pull out the day's plan and add local weather and short videos of the sights.
  4. Catching a booking mistake
Instinct spotted a misspelled passenger name so I could correct it before the trip.
  5. Planning dinner around the evening
Find restaurants that fit the timing, seating and food I want, checking current menus and reservation options.
  6. Checking which happy hours are worth a look
Compare food and drink prices across restaurants, separating confirmed deals from missing information.
  7. Following a flight beyond the departure board
Check the inbound plane and track takeoff, delays and landing for me or someone I'm meeting.
  8. Handling flight check-in
Find the booking in email, check in at the time I choose and bring back the boarding passes.
  9. Researching odd practical questions
Check local prices, estimate an event's length from recorded videos or troubleshoot a device showing the wrong sunset time.
  10. Making weather reports useful
Include tides and sunset times for a trip, compare forecasts for several towns or warn me only when temperatures cross a threshold I set.
  11. Sorting out my inbox by conversation
Find important messages and invoice details, then help me decide what to archive, delete or unsubscribe from.
  12. Preparing work emails for my approval
Gather the relevant details, tighten the wording and send after I review it.
  13. Keeping this blog list up to date
Review new uses each day, suggest wording without private details and update the post after I approve it.
  14. Building a packing list by text
Add things as I think of them, then send the list with my reminder to pack.
  15. Running a to-do list with simple shortcuts
Use "td" to add or show tasks, check them off by number and carry unfinished items forward.
  16. Remembering the small things over time
Set, snooze or change reminders by text, including follow-up nudges, maintenance history and where things are stored.
  17. Watching for package updates
Look for shipping and delivery emails and tell me when something changes.
